Dr.Bishnu Charan Dash is a founder Professor of English at Assam Central University. By birth, an Odia, Professor Dash has spent more than 32 years in the Northeast serving her people, languages and their cultures from close quarters with special emphasis on the marginalized section of the society which prompted him to write two critical books on Subaltern discourse under the titles (a)  Dynamics of Subaltern Consciousness:   Critical Perspectives (2015) and (b)  Negotiating Subaltern Consciousness : A Northeast Perspective.
